The K.I.A. Memorial RoadmarchTM (or “KMR”) is a 10K ruck march through Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY.
Participants will march, run, walk or crawl, a 10K either as a Individual or Team while carrying rucks (back packs) filled with non perishable goods ( or choose to not carry and donate before the Roadmarch we just ask that you bring a minimum of 30 lbs to donate.) You can donate your perishable goods to the VFW Post 1419 before the march. The Roadmarch is open to all – current / retired military, first responders, civilians- EVERYONE!
If you can’t carry the weight and just want to walk we ask that you register, join us and donate the minimum of 30 lbs food at the beginning, no need to carry that weight, just have fun!
Open to EVERYONE, just create a 4 person KMR Challenge Squad, come up with a clever name and collectively carry 200 pounds of non-perishable food. See the FAQ Rules Section for more information. You can have as many 4 person Squads as you would like, just different names! Compete amongst your friends Squad and all the other Squads.
This is where it gets competitive! You walk the same route but we’ve added five Drill Sergeant Inspired Challenges (four individual, one team). Each KMR Squad Member completes one of the 4 Challenges and receive a special KMR Challenge Swag. The first squad that completes the 4 individual challenges, the Squad Challenge and crosses the finish line as a KMR Squad with all four KMR Challenge swag wins the trophy… and bragging rights.
Open to EVERYONE, just carry 30 pounds of non-perishable food. This is where it gets competitive! You walk the same route but we’ve added 4 Drill Sergeant Inspired Challenges Complete the 4 Challenges and receive a special KMR Challenge Swag. Come in First and win the trophy… and bragging rights.
